Hello Warpfriends, This is a dual-format HTML and plain text info mailout dedicated to Broadcast’s album from August 2003, "HAHA Sound". If you see plain text below it is because your email browser or account is non-html compatible. To see the HTML version, click here: www.warprecords.com/emails/broadcast/ Broadcast HAHA Sound After a three year absence, Broadcast are back. Their new album HAHA Sound was released to much acclaim in August, preceded by the ‘Pendulum’ EP in May. This is their first new material since The Noise Made By People in 2000 and judging by the response (see some of the reviews below), it is their best-loved work so far. This warpmail rounds up all the information and activity surrounding Broadcast in 2003. Biography: read an excellent short piece by St Etienne’s Bob Stanley about the band and the new album here: http://tinyurl.com/uq00 Broadcast Website www.broadcast.uk.net The new site with artwork by Intro. 'Microtronics' contains 11 instrumental tracks in the ‘library music’ style. The CD will be limited to 2000 copies and is not available in shops, but any left over will be available to buy from Warpmart once the tour is completed. Peel Session Broadcast recorded their first Session for John Peel in August, joining other Warp artists Boards of Canada, Plaid, Autechre and Mira Calix in contributing to this prestigious series. Eley Kishimoto Shoot and Competition This summer Broadcast did a shoot for Elle Magazine UK, styled by Mark Eley for Eley Kishimoto. In May, Eley Kishimoto also contributed a customized and screenprinted version of the Pendulum 12" vinyl to an exhibition in Tokyo, and 10 copies were then given away in a competition on the Broadcast website. www.eleykishimoto.com www.rocket-jp.com/gallery/exhibition/detail.jsp?exhibitionCode=20030711 Broadcast In Warpmart HAHA Sound - The new album www.warprecords.com/?mart=warp106 Pendulum - EP from earlier this year www.warprecords.com/?mart=wap162 The Noise Made by People - Their debut album from 2000 www.warprecords.com/?mart=warp65 Work and Non Work – A compilation of their early EPs www.warprecords.com/?mart=warp52 T Shirts There are several new Broadcast t shirts available, all with designs taken from the album artwork by Intro.
